Martijn Comes is a Dutch artist specializing in new media, sound design, and composition. He hosts two radio shows broadcasting on Concertzender Nederland that are focused on electroacoustic music and radio art. He's released a wide-spectrum of music since 2008 including albums on Clinical Archives, Moving Furniture, IO Sound, and the Bedouin Records sub-label Bastakiya Tapes. His soundtrack work on ‘Resonance’ with filmmaker Thomas Mohr was selected as part of the best of Ars Electronica Festival in 2010. His work ‘Eann’ (for carillon, dedicated to his son) was selected as the opening piece for Le Guess Who? 2017 in Utrecht, while his piece ‘Radiance’ was also written for carillon and recently had its debut at the closing showcase for Rewire Festival in Nijmegen in November 2019.
